Anime/Manga: Inu X Boku SS (Youko X Boku)

Okay, so, this is a story of demons living in a dormitory so that their true identity is kept a secret. So the main  character, Ririchiyo, comes to this dormitory because she no longer wants to be used as an item of power. She also doesn't want her family to fight over her. She puts up a false front, one that is tough and a rude so that others don't use her vulnerability against her, but it's also her weakness. She never knows how to respond exactly the way she wants and ends up causing some frustrations to herself along the way.

While she was at this house, each demon is assigned another demon as their secret service member. This is to protect their identity and them from being kidnapped and used. Miketsukami is a fox demon that devotes himself to Ririchiyo for some reason. He is attached to her and has known her since she was younger, this is what drove him to become her secret service member. He's as "loyal as a dog".

The two of them have an odd dynamic, one that coerces the honest Ririchiyo out of her shell and reaches into the depths of the cold Miketsukami to bring out warmth.

So this is story is really touching and that aside, it's adorable and hilarious.

Okasan! Haruhi is using bad language! (Ouran High School Host Club; Anime/Manga/JDrama)

Anime: Ouran High School Host Club
Rating:

I stumbled upon this anime when I was still in high school. It's completely silly and really is something to watch if you want a laugh...
What you don't expect is the fact that this anime is actually quite deep when it comes to personal relationships and quite perceptive in introducing the audience to the values of friends, regardless of background.

Synopsis:

Haruhi is a scholarship at one of the richest and  most prestigious high schools in Japan. All Haruhi wants is to study and get through their schooling. This is vastly interrupted when they happen upon a club, a host club. (A host club is typically a club of good looking men that serve drinks to ladies who want to be surrounded by them. This anime makes the Host Club look sweet and innocent but it's really quite the opposite.) They end up breaking a really valuable vase, one in which they couldn't even hope to pay for. So they are now the club's errand dog. That is, until they realize after cleaning them up, they could be a host too and make  money quicker.

Haruhi is a girl.

But they keep that a secret. Haruhi learns the values of friendship and what is underneath the exterior of this silly club.

Also there's a really cute romance-ing bit! :3

Now, lemme use gifs to introduce the characters!
(I love me some gifs...)

Haruhi:

Tamaki:

Kyoya:

Hikaru & Kaoru:

Mitsukani "Honey":

Takashi "Mori":

and now just gifs!

And just so you all know, there is a manga and a JDrama...
THE JDRAMA IS HILARIOUS.
LIKE SRSLY.

The Flower and the Demon

Manga: 花と悪魔, (Hana to Akuma aka The Flower and the Demon)

Rating:

This story had me crying non-stop. I just had too many feels... Way...too...many...feels. I read the entire series on Manga Z app for windows 8 and it took me less than a week. I was just trapped in its story and I loved it. The characters were sweet and dangerous, the story was cute and draws the readers into it. It is a romance story.

So the story centers around a girl named Hana, she was found as a baby on the doorsteps of a demon prince's home, named Vivi. He decided, that since it was interesting, he'd raise her. So Hana grew up around demons and their world, but once Hana was older, she fell in love with Vivi. Vivi just thought of her as a child and didn't pay it much mind until he realized that he was the only thing that was truly important to him. So after doing his duty in the underworld, he comes back years later to an older Hana who he spends the rest of her life with.

Now, it may seem typical, it may seem bland, it may seem boring, but I love it. The story itself is so well written. The conflicts, the development of character, and the general cuteness of "falling in love" is so well done in this manga. Really, just read it.
